UNION PRIVILEGES. (a) The Company agrees that all employees within the bargaining unit will become and remain, as a condition of employment, members of the Union during the lifetime of this Agreement. (b) The Company shall require new employees to make application for membership in the Union at the time of their hiring. The Company shall collect membership initiation fees as may be established by the Union and forward the application form and such fees to the Union with the regular monthly dues remittance. The Company agrees to issue a letter to all new hires which will inform them that the workplace is a union shop and membership in the Union and payment of initiation fees and dues is compulsory. (e) The Company agrees to forward to the Union Office on a monthly basis, a complete alphabetical listing of all employees, including their home address, starting date, store location, department, Social Insurance Number and phone number separated in full-time and part-time. 12.02 The Company agrees to recognize officers, so designated by the Union, from each division and to grant them time off with pay as may be reasonably necessary to service any grievance or potential grievance. The Committee will be afforded the necessary time off, with pay, to attend such meetings with representatives of the Company. 12.03 Authorized representatives of the Union shall be entitled to visit any store covered by this Agreement for the purpose of observing working conditions, interviewing members and unsigned employees and ensuring that the terms of this Agreement are being implemented. UNION PRIVILEGES. (a) The Company agrees that all employees within the bargaining unit will become A. Authorized officers and remain, as a condition of employment, members business representatives of the Union and/or International Union who are not employees of the Company shall have access to the Company’s premises, to the extent the Company may grant such access, during working hours for the lifetime purpose of this Agreementadjusting disputes, investigating working conditions and ascertaining that the Agreement is being adhered to, or other sound Union business. The Union Representative shall, prior to entering the Company’s premises, first call at the office and/or attempt to make his presence known to the Manager or his Assistant. Such authorized Union Representative shall be allowed to transact necessary business, provided there shall be no interference with or interruption of work in carrying out such Union responsibilities. The Union Representatives agree to follow the Company’s prescribed safety and security regulations while on the Company’s premises, such as wearing a safety vest.

The Company further agrees will permit the Union or its representatives to record distribute Union literature. Postings may not be derogatory or offensive toward the annual Union Dues Deductions for each employee on his T4 formCompany or any individual employee.
(e) C. The Company agrees to forward to shall recognize, and the Union Office shall have the right to designate, pursuant to its own procedures, employees to serve as Committee of Adjustment Officers, Union Officers and Representatives (up to three (3) people on a monthly basis, a complete alphabetical listing the Committee of Adjustment and up to five (5) people as Local Officers). The Union shall notify the Company in writing of all employeeselected and appointed Officers and Representatives. All Union business shall be conducted in non-work areas unless permission is specifically granted by the Company to conduct business in work areas. Union Officers, including Representatives and Local Chairpersons shall not interfere with the Company’s operations when conducting official Union business and shall carry out their home addressduties on non-working time, starting datewith the exceptions of official grievance meetings with Company’s representatives, store locationparticipation in investigatory interviews as requested by an employee, departmentand any meetings the Officer is requested to attend by the Company relating to contract administration. Non-working time shall include breaks, Social Insurance Number lunch, and phone number separated in full-time before and part-after the employee’s work time.

UNION PRIVILEGES. (a) 1. When telephone messages for unit representatives are received by the Employer, the message will be delivered to the representative at the earliest possible time.
2. The Company agrees parties recognize the Union as the exclusive representative for the purpose of meeting, conferring, and discuss proposals relative to salaries and other conditions of employment of bargaining unit employees. The Parties also recognize that the Employer retains all rights to fully communicate with its employees within to discuss work related issues and may utilize employee committees to accomplish this right. For a divisional or departmental level standing committee that is established to receive recommendations from bargaining unit employees about matters that could impact the terms and conditions of employment as set forth in this Agreement, not to include normal work process issues, the Union will be given the opportunity to select up to 50% of the candidates to serve on the committee. Only employees selected by the Union will be allowed to speak on behalf of the collective interests of the bargaining unit; however, the Employer reserves the right to assign employees who may be part of the bargaining unit will become to serve as committee members and remain, as a condition of employment, members offer their individual input. A copy of the agenda shall be forwarded to each committee member and the Union during five (5) calendar days prior to the lifetime of this Agreement.

Upon request, and pursuant to Article 11 (Labor Management Meetings), a labor management meeting will be convened to further discuss items that are relevant topics for such labor management meeting. Meetings held for this purpose will not be counted toward the maximum of four (4) labor management meetings authorized in Article 11. The parties agree not to endeavor to avoid or delay the meeting. For the caseload standards committee, the committee may be attended by up to three (3) bargaining unit members appointed by the Union. Only employees selected by the Union will be allowed to speak on behalf of the collective interests of the bargaining unit; however, the Employer reserves the right to assign employees who may be part of the bargaining unit to serve as committee members and offer their individual input. For a divisional or department-level standing employee staff council that has a mission statement of providing a forum for communication between frontline staff and executive staff, a tentative copy of the agenda shall be forwarded to each committee member and the Union five (5) calendar days prior to the meeting. Committee meeting minutes will be made available and a copy will be forwarded to the Union at the earliest possible time. Upon request, the Union shall be given an opportunity to discuss agenda items and meeting minutes with the division director or designee. The scheduling of such meeting shall not serve to delay the committee meeting. Upon request, and pursuant to Article 11 (Labor Management Meetings), a labor management meeting will be convened to further discuss items that are relevant topics for such labor management meeting. Meetings held for this Agreement purpose will not be counted toward the maximum of four (4) labor management meetings authorized in Article 11. The parties agree not to endeavor to avoid or delay the meeting. The Employer will not convene employee committee meetings for the sole purpose of observing working conditions, interviewing members and unsigned employees and ensuring that the terms of this Agreement are being implemented. The interviewing of an employee shall be permitted after the appropriate circumventing labor management representative has given his consent, which shall not be unreasonably withheldmeetings.
