Union Related Matters and Workplace Delegates Term. ‌ 15.1 A Union representative will be permitted in working hours (other than timetabled teaching time) to meet with the Principal or Principal's delegate on union business. These meetings must take place at a time and place convenient to both parties. 15.2 Subject to the provisions of the Fair Work Act, meetings of union members who are employed at the School may be held on School premises at times and places convenient to union members and to the School.
Union Related Matters and Workplace Delegates Term. 15.1 Subject to the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth): (a) the School must permit an Employee who is the School representative (Employee School Representative) of a registered union that is entitled to represent the industrial interests of any Employees to post notices on a common room notice board. (b) The Employee School Representative will be permitted in working hours (other than timetabled teaching time unless mutually agreed) to meet with the Principal or Principal's delegate on union business. These meetings must take place at a time and place convenient to both parties. 15.2 The School agrees to release each Union representative each year for one day of paid training leave plus one day of paid leave to attend the Annual Representatives Conference. This clause in its entirety is to be read in conjunction with Chapter 3, Part 3-4 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).

  • Union Delegate/Employee Representative Facilities The Employer shall provide an agreed facility for the use of the Union Delegate/ Employee representative to perform their duties and functions as the on-site representative of the Employees. The provision of the following facilities is to ensure that the Union Delegate/Employee Representative is able to effectively perform their functions in a professional and timely manner. The facilities shall include but need not exceed: (a) a telephone; (b) a table and chairs (c) a filing cabinet; (d) air-conditioning/heating; (e) access to stationery and other administrative facilities use of e-mail, (if available on site), following consultation between the Union Delegate/Employee Representative and Site Management. (f) a private lockable area (g) access to a computer.

  • Union Representative Visits The Union shall inform the Employer in advance whenever the designated representatives of the Union intend to visit the Employer’s premises for the purpose of conducting Union business. Such visits shall not interfere with the normal operations of the worksite. Reasonable accommodation will be made to allow the Presidents of the Unions to have access to union members to conduct union business.

  • List of Union Representatives The Union agrees to provide and maintain an up-to-date list of all Union Representatives (including Union Stewards, Union Executive, Grievance Committee, Labour/Management Committee and Negotiating Committee) to the Director of Human Resources or designate.

  • Union Delegates The Employer recognizes the right of the Union to designate Union Delegates who shall be authorized to take up employee or group grievances through the grievance procedure. A Union Delegate who is a bargaining unit employee and is processing a grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure shall be permitted a reasonable time to assist in the resolution of legitimate employee grievances on the Employer's property without loss of pay. Such time off for processing grievances shall be granted by supervision following a request, but in consideration of any job responsibilities.

  • Medical Appointment for Pregnant Employees 35.9.1 Up to three decimal seven five (3.75) hours of reasonable time off with pay for each appointment will be granted to pregnant employees for the purpose of attending routine medical appointments.
