Union Security and Checkoff of Union Dues. 7.01 Every new employee shall, within thirty (30) days, apply for and maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment. Every employee who is a member of the Union shall maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment. In those special circumstances where an employee is not required to maintain membership in the Union, that employee shall, as a condition of employment, pay to the Union the dues required to be paid by members.

The Employer shall provide new employees with a copy of the Collective Agreement at the beginning of their employment. The Employer shall have new employees sign authorization cards for deduction of dues, such cards to be provided by the Union. Every employee who is a member of the Union shall maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment. In those special circumstances where an employee is not required to maintain membership in the Union, that employee shall, as a condition of employment, pay to the Union the dues required to be paid by members.
