Use Clause Clause Samples
A Use Clause defines how a party is permitted to use certain property, assets, or rights under an agreement. Typically, it outlines the specific purposes, limitations, or conditions under which the subject matter—such as intellectual property, leased premises, or confidential information—may be accessed or utilized. For example, it may restrict use to internal business purposes or prohibit sub-licensing to third parties. The core function of a Use Clause is to set clear boundaries on usage, thereby preventing misuse and protecting the interests of the party granting the rights.
