Use of Accrued Leave. During an absence period that may qualify for Paid Leave Oregon, employee may choose to go in an unpaid status while they wait for their PFMLI application to be approved and paid to them. Alternatively, they may request in writing to use their accrued leave during this time. If an employee is found ineligible for PFMLI, the employee may choose to retroactively request the use of their accrued paid leave if the use is otherwise permitted per District policy.
