Use of benchmarks and extrapolations Sample Clauses

Use of benchmarks and extrapolations. ‌ For regional GVA, no benchmarking or extrapolations are used. Necessary source data are readily available for the production of estimates. The majority of data are provided by National Accounts and Enterprise Statistics units in the same department. Other sources that are needed are also used in the national estimates compilation process. As regional estimates are always fully consistent with national estimates, there is no need for additonal data sources. Regional estimates are compiled only after the completion of national estimates.
Use of benchmarks and extrapolations. For the compilation of regional accounts no use is generally made of benchmarks and extrapolations. For each industry, there are sufficient sources for “bottom-up” or “top-down” compilation of regional GVA calculation. There are two exceptional cases: • While compiling GVA at constant prices in the non-financial corporations sector the report G-05 Report on value of used materials, energy and services and stocks of materials prepared every 5 years is used (lately for the year 2015). On the basis of data from this report structures are prepared for division of consumption of materials and external services into types of consumed materials and services. • In the non-profit institutions serving households sector among others SOF-1 Report on foundation, associations and social organisations is the source of data. The report is prepared every 2 years. For the year for which report is not prepared the estimation by regions is used. Using price indices of consumer goods and services as an estimate is made on revenues from sales of goods and services, total costs, wages and salaries and social contribution. The estimates are carried out by the Research Centre For Social Economy in the Statistical Office in Kraków.
