The Contractor must ensure that the use of force and instruments of restraint by Contract Workers pursuant to this clause 10.8, and the degree to which force and instruments of restraint are used, are reasonable in the circumstances. The Contractor acknowledges that the Prisons Act empowers the CEO to authorise the use of force by Contract Workers against a Prisoner or Prisoners in certain circumstances, including the degree of force to be used.
