Common use of Utility Location Clause in Contracts

Utility Location. The CONSULTANT shall: • Perform ground penetrating potholing to determine location and approximate depths of utilities in up to fifteen (15) locations. • Excavate and expose utilities at the proposed pothole location utilizing vacuum excavation techniques. If utility depths are greater than ten feet, utilization of backhoe may be necessary. • Document location and existing depth of utilities at each pothole location.

If the utility depths are greater than ten feet, utilization of backhoe may be necessary. • Perform field survey to identify the location of potholes. • Document location and existing depth of utilities at each pothole location.
