Vacancy - A position which is not filled due to a retirement, resignation, termination, transfer, successful job bid, or death, which the Board intends to fill, or a newly created position. 2. Job Bid - The process of requesting a change in assignment or classification through a response to a posted vacancy. 3. Newly Created Position - A new classification or an increase in the number of staff employed in an existing classification.
