Vacation for Part-Time Appointees Clause Samples

The "Vacation for Part-Time Appointees" clause defines how vacation entitlements are calculated and granted to employees who work part-time schedules. Typically, this clause outlines that part-time appointees accrue vacation time on a pro-rated basis, reflecting the proportion of hours or days they work compared to full-time employees. For example, a part-time employee working half the hours of a full-time position would earn half the standard vacation entitlement. The core function of this clause is to ensure fairness and clarity in vacation allocation for part-time staff, preventing misunderstandings and aligning benefits with actual work performed.
