Special features and special application valves will be utilized, where required. Valves specified to have flanged, socket welded, or screwed connections will have ends prepared in accordance with the applicable ANSI standards. Steel flanges will be raised-face type, unless otherwise required. Cast iron and bronze flanges will be flat-faced type.
