Vehicle Collision. When a vehicle (device used to transport people or things) collides (comes together with violent force) with another vehicle or inanimate or animate object(s) and results in injury (other than the need for First Aid) or death.
Vehicle Collision. (1) Employees shall not suffer any loss of pay or any other benefits under this collective agreement due to being involved in a motor vehicle accident during the course of their duties with the Employer with respect to which accident the employee is not criminally responsible or grossly negligent. (2) In the case of such accidents, employees shall be deemed to be not criminally responsible or grossly negligent until the employee has admitted criminal responsibility or gross negligence or until a court has determined that this is the case. Employees shall not have to repay any benefits received by him/her prior to admission to criminal responsibility or gross negligence or prior to such a determination by a court. (3) Employees shall not be required to use their own vehicles for transportation of inmates.
Vehicle Collision. An employee covered by this Agreement who, while operating an Employer’s owned or rented vehicle, becomes involved in any collision or accident with the said vehicle will continue to receive his/her normal rate of pay until the investigation of the collision or accident has been completed by the Employer.
