Common use of VIOLATIONS AND ENFORCEMENT Clause in Contracts

VIOLATIONS AND ENFORCEMENT. It shall be unlawful to build upon, divide, convey, record or monument any land in violation of this chapter or of the Wisconsin Statutes, and no person, partnership, firm, corporation, or entity of any sort shall be issued a building permit by the Village authorizing the building on, or improvement of, any land division, subdivision, or replat within the jurisdiction of this chapter not of record as of the effective date of this chapter until all of the provisions and requirements of this chapter have been fully met. The Village may institute appropriate action or proceedings to enjoin violations of and enforce compliance with this chapter or the applicable Wisconsin Statutes. If the Village prevails in such action, it shall be entitled to recover the costs of actual attorney fees incurred from the violator. If a building permit is erroneously issued by the Village, such permit is not a valid permit and may be revoked and rescinded by the Village as appropriate.
