Visual Display Terminals. 39.01 The Company agrees to maintain video display terminals and computers in accordance with government regulations. 39.02 Pregnant employees shall be allowed to carry out alternate duties within the bargaining unit for the duration of their pregnancy, provided they are capable of performing the work in question and a vacancy exists. Pregnant women with concerns regarding the effects of VDT’s on their unborn children shall be allowed to be absent from work, without pay, and to continue to accrue seniority during the period of their pregnancy- related absence. 39.03 The Company shall provide radiation screens for pregnant employees who request them.
