Volunteer List. Employer will maintain a monthly list of volunteers based on seniority for purposes of alleviating any increased work load due to absences of any nature. If a volunteer cannot be found on the list, then the work will be assigned to the least senior employee who has signed same list volunteering for extra work whenever it is available. In the event that two employees on the list have refused to work such additional hours, management may utilize whatever method it deems necessary to attempt to fill the absence. 8.10.1.1 It is understood that employees who sign the list for extra work will be expected to work when called. An employee on this list who refuses to report after being contacted on two consecutive occasions will have his/her name dropped from the list for the remainder of current schedule and for the following month’s schedule. Each employee must be given the opportunity to sign the list. Upon request the Union shall be furnished a copy of the list.
