Wage Scale Placement. New employees covered under this Agreement will be given credit for years of relevant experience in comparable jobs as determined by the Employer. Employees moving from the MLT classification to the MT Intermediate classification by natural progression will be placed on the same years of experience step. Other than employees moving from MLT to MT Intermediate, employees moving from one classification to another will be given credit for years of relevant experience in comparable jobs as determined by the Employer and will be paid either the rate for that step in the higher classification or placed on a step that is at least three percent (3%) higher than the employee’s straight time rate of pay, whichever is higher.
