Weatherproofing and Insulation. 1. Caulking and weather-stripping to complement or match the color of adjacent surfaces or sealant materials. 2. In-kind replacement or installation of insulation systems, provided that existing interior plaster, woodwork, exterior siding, or exterior architectural detail is not altered. The allowance does not apply to urea formaldehyde foam insulation or any other thermal insulation containing water, when installed within wall cavities. It does not apply to exterior insulation finishing systems (EIFS) that do not include an adequate vapor and moisture drainage system, or work in enclosed spaces that are not finished.
