For overnight or longer periods: • The cradle should be left in an inaccessible position, preferably 3 m above the ground or adjacent deck level. • The cradle should be secured to the serviced structure, to prevent damage to property or equipment from the effects of wind. • Trailing ropes and cables should be stored on the cradle. • Mobile suspension rigs should be effectively chocked or otherwise prevented from moving under the effect of wind. • Protective devices should be trip locked onto their respective wire ropes. • Power supply leads should be disconnected from the power supply outlets on the supporting structure. • Air supply hoses should be disconnected from any permanent air supply line, or the supplying air compressor should be shut down and the air reservoir pressure released.
