Words Clause Samples

The "Words" clause defines how specific terms and language used within the contract are to be interpreted. It typically clarifies whether words in the singular include the plural, whether masculine terms include feminine and vice versa, and how references to persons or entities should be understood. By establishing these interpretive rules, the clause ensures consistency and reduces ambiguity throughout the contract, helping to prevent disputes over the meaning of particular words or phrases.
