Common use of Work Cycle Clause in Contracts

Work Cycle. 9.2.1 The normal workday shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours, excluding meal periods. This workday can begin on one day and finish on the following day. 9.2.2 The minimum daily call is eight (8) hours of work plus one (1) unpaid meal break. There shall be no split shifts. 9.2.3 Hours worked shall be calculated in sixths (6) of one hour increments (ten (10) minutes). 9.2.4 A four (4) hour call may be scheduled within the Employee’s standard work week only, and is to be paid at one and one-half times (1 1/2x) the basic hourly rate. Any additional hours assigned shall be paid at two times (2x) the basic rate calculated to the end of the last hour in which work was performed in the following limited situation for work within the Studio Zone: (1) Production meetings and screening rushes; (2) Screen tests (3) Location scouting 9.2.5 If the employee requests and obtains from the employer permission to leave before the end of his shift, the employer has the obligation to pay only the actual hoursworked.
