Work of Bargaining Unit. 24.01 Plant Supervisors will not normally perform work customarily performed by employees in the bargaining unit, except: (a) as a result of urgent or emergency conditions, (b) for the purposes of demonstration or training, (c) to occasionally relieve an employee for a short period, or (d) when a regular employee is not available due to being late for work or absent from work and a suitable replacement is not available. 24.02 Sales Supervisors, Sales Representatives and Sales Execution Specialists shall continue to perform their normal sales and merchandising activities; provided, however, that such activities shall not be extended by the Company so as to cause the layoff of any regular employee. 24.03 The Company agrees that if the contracting out of any work normally performed by employees in the Bargaining Unit will result in the layoff of any regular full- time employee, the Company will meet with the Union to discuss ways and means of reducing the impact of such change on the employee(s) to be affected.
