Common use of Work on Public Holidays Clause in Contracts

Work on Public Holidays. As a general rule, Employees will not work on Public Holidays. An Employee working on a public holiday will be entitled to a substitute day off, to be taken at a mutually agreed time, or alternatively, the hours worked will be paid at a rate of double time and a half, inclusive of payment for the day.
