Work Schedules and Shifts. Except for employees in the classification of Juvenile Institutional Officer Intermittent and services-as-needed Transportation Worker, the responsible management authority shall prepare a schedule showing the days and hours each employee in his/her area is to work. Except under unforeseeable circumstances, each management authority shall make every reasonable effort to assure that no employee shall have more than one change of shift in any work week and that the employee shall be off duty no less than twelve (12) hours prior to working the new shift. An employee may work planned variations of the normal workday or workweek provided that his/her immediate supervisor and the Agency/Department Head have given written approval for the planned variation program.
