Working Equipment. 30.1 Bluewater Power shall supply without expense to each employee a full kit of tools and such employee will be responsible for the safekeeping of the same. Any loss other than ordinary wear and tear will be replaced at the employee’s expense. 30.2 Bluewater Power shall supply without expense to the employee: rubber gloves and covers, rubber boots, coats, spurs, belts, flash goggles, safety hats and liners, and necessary tools to all employees when required, as well as the necessary equipment for covering live apparatus, on the strict understanding that each employee shall make the best use of such equipment for his own safety and the protection of others. 30.3 All accident prevention equipment shall be kept at high standard of efficiency. All rubber gloves shall be tested frequently. Each employee shall report any defect in tools, vehicles or safety equipment to his/her immediate ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, in writing. (Forms to be supplied by Bluewater Power). 30.4 Bluewater Power shall provide leather working gloves on a replacement basis to the following classifications: Substation Maintenance Electricians, Linemen, Foresters, Utility Labourer, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Stockkeepers, Meter Technicians, Water Heater Technicians, Line/Locator Inspector and Customer Service Field Representatives. The first pair will be purchased by the employee and will be replaced by Bluewater Power when the old pair is considered no longer serviceable and is turned into the Stockkeeper for replacement. 30.5 On receipt of an invoice Bluewater Power will pay the below amounts or the invoice price submitted by the employee, whichever is less, and that these allowances can be allowed to accumulate for two (2) years. Bluewater Power shall supply an allowance to: (a) Motor Vehicle Mechanics up to a maximum of $355.00 per year towards the cost of safety boots, smocks or overalls, shirts and trousers, or any combination; (b) Stockkeepers, Operators, Utility Labourer and Draftperson up to maximum of $100.00 per year toward the cost of overalls, shirts and trousers, or any combination. (c) Linemen, Substation Maintenance Electricians, Foresters, Line/Locator Inspector, Meter Technicians, Line Technicians, Heavy Equipment Operator, Heavy Equipment Operator Assistant and Electrician up to a maximum of $145 per year toward the cost of safety boots. (d) Up to $125.00 per year towards the cost of safety boots for all other employees required by Management to wear them. 30.6 Bluewater Power has provided FR clothing to various classifications and shall provide a further allowance as follows: (a) Positions identified as Stockkeepers, Operators, Line Technicians, and Draftperson were provided with certain limited FR clothing and that FR clothing will be replaced as required, to be determined by the employee’s supervisor. (b) Positions identified as Lineman, Substation Maintenance Electricians, Foresters, Line/Locator Inspector, Meter Technicians, Heavy Equipment Operator, Heavy Equipment Operator Assistant, Customer Service Field Representative, Meter Readers (non FR) and Electrician shall be provided with 51 points for any new employee to become outfitted and all employees having received their initial allotment shall receive 23 points per annum thereafter to be allocated as determined by the employee on the following items: Item: Points per item: • T-shirt 1 pt • Long-sleeve workshirt 4 pts • Hooded Sweatshirt 6 pts • Work Pant 4 pts • Bib Overall. 8 pts • Insulated Bib Overall 12 pts • Unlined Bomber 6 pts • Lined Bomber 10 pts • Winter Parka 12 pts (c) Points can be accumulated for a period of up to two (2) years. In order to most efficiently manage the replacement of clothing, Management reserves the right to determine when FR clothing can be ordered. (d) Bluewater shall be responsible to repair FR clothing torn or damaged, provided it is otherwise in good condition.

Meter Readers (non FR) shall be provided with 35 points for any new employee to become outfitted and all employees having received their initial allotment of points shall receive 16 points per annum thereafter.
