Workload of Members. 23.1 Members teach and adhere to teaching policies governing: i. the preparation of, and adherence to, academic course syllabi; ii. the grading of student assignments; iii. the posting of reasonable office hours and the availability to meet with students; and iv. the submission of grades as required by departmental / program practice.
Workload of Members. 25.1 Academic Staff holding the rank of Lecturer II, Lecturer I, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor: (1) The normal full-time workload of academic staff members and holding the rank of Lecturer II, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor shall include research, service, and teaching. Specifically, such Members shall be entitled and expected to: (a) teach and adhere to teaching policies governing: (i) the preparation of, and adherence to, academic course syllabi; (ii) the grading of student assignments; (iii) the posting of reasonable office hours and the availability to meet with students; (iv) the submission of grades as required by departmental / program practice; (b) engage in research and other professional activities of a scholarly nature; and, (c) accept a fair and reasonable share of administrative responsibilities through participation in departmental, program, and University committees, University of Waterloo committees, professionally related service in the community, and / or professional and / or scholarly organizations. (2) For Members at the Lecturer I rank occupying a Continuing appointment the emphasis shall primarily be in teaching and service as defined above. (3) No Member can be assigned specific research, creative, scholarly, or external professional activities.
Workload of Members a) The full-time workload of Members holding the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor shall include teaching, research and creative activities, and service in proportions as governed by and varied in accordance with this Agreement. No Member can be assigned specific research, creative activity, or external professional activities. b) For Members at the rank of Lecturer, the emphasis shall be primarily in teaching and service.
Workload of Members. (a) The normal full-time workload of Members will include teaching, research/scholarly/creative activities, and service to the community in proportions as governed by and varied in accordance with past practice and the provisions of this agreement. The workload of the Member is determined by the ▇▇▇▇, in consultation with the Member and, where applicable, the department/division Chair(s), it being understood that no Member can be assigned specific research, creative, scholarly or professional activities.
Workload of Members. Due to the smallness of the University and the willingness of the members to continue to offer a sufficient range of courses to maintain viable programmes and to section large classes, the normal teaching load as defined in Article is higher than is common in Canadian universities. As a consequence it is recognized that less time can be devoted by members to other activities as specified in Article and (subsections and than is the practice at many other Canadian universities.
Workload of Members. 25.1 Academic Staff holding the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor The normal full-time workload of academic staff members holding the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor shall include research, service, and teaching. Specifically, each Teaching Member shall be entitled and expected to: (a) teach and adhere to SJUC teaching policies governing: (i) the preparation of, and adherence to, academic course syllabi; (ii) the grading of student assignments; (iii) the posting of reasonable office hours and the availability to meet with students; (iv) the submission of grades as required by departmental / program practice; (b) engage in research and other professional activities of a scholarly nature; and, (c) accept a fair and reasonable share of administrative responsibilities through participation in departmental, program, and University committees, University of Waterloo committees, professionally related service in the community, and / or professional and / or scholarly organizations. No Member can be assigned specific research, creative, scholarly, or external professional activities.

  • New Members No person may be admitted as a member of the Company without the approval of the Member.

  • Initial Members The initial members of the LLC, their initial capital contributions, and their percentage interest in the LLC are: Initial Percentage Interest Capital Members in LLC Contribution

  • Other Members The Council or a committee may invite the attendance of any persons whose special knowledge would be of assistance. Such persons shall not have the power to vote.

  • Professional Memberships Each employee is eligible for reimbursement for membership fees or dues paid for the maintenance of a license required to perform employee’s job and for dues paid for membership in one additional job related professional association.

  • Duties of Members Each Member must have a duty as set forth in Exhibit 1 to this agreement. The Members agree that the failure to satisfy a Member’s duties may result in the expulsion or removal of that Member. (a) If a Member fails at their duties for a period of one hundred twenty (120) consecutive days, the Member will lose their membership interest. The start date of the failure must be documented. (b) If a Member fails to do their duties for one hundred twenty (120) days out of any two hundred thirty nine (239) day period, the Company will consider such a failure and whether the Member will be expelled and lose their membership interest in accordance with this Article and Section ▇▇-▇▇-▇▇▇ of the Act. The dates of failure in question must be documented. (c) If a Member disputes the completion of another Member’s duties and attempts to take over that Member’s interest, they must do so in writing by certified delivery to the Member’s residential address as listed in Exhibit 1. If certified delivery is not available, hand delivery by a third party is acceptable. (d) If a Member receives a complaint as described above, the Member must fulfill their established duties within fourteen (14) days. (e) If there is a dispute as to what any Member’s duties are or if those duties are being fulfilled, and the Members have gone through the dispute process outlined in the above subsections (a) through (d) of this Section 4.06, the Members agree to enter into binding mediation or arbitration to decide if the Member’s duties are being performed in compliance with the agreed duties as outlined in Exhibit 1 of this Agreement. If the Members fail to reach an agreement through arbitration or mediation, the Members in dispute agree to file a complaint in the appropriate Court to procure a decision as to the fulfillment of Members’ duties. Upon a decision by the Court that a Member has failed to meet its duties, the Member will assign and forfeit their membership interest to the other remaining Member(s). The assignment of the non-compliant Member’s membership interest will result in a debt owed to the non-compliant Member by the Company. The debt owed to the expelled Member shall be the aggregate sum of any capital contributions submitted to the Company by the expelled Member. (f) The value of the non-compliant Member’s interest being transferred to the remaining Member(s) must be determined before the transfer can be completed. During the course of the transfer, the non-compliant Member will maintain complete powers of membership in the Company. (g) In the event of a dispute of Member’s duties, Members may negotiate an exchange of membership interests for a lesser amount of Member duties, provided that modification is memorialized and attached to Exhibit 1.
