Written Change Order. Changes in the Contract Work shall be authorized by written change order signed by Owner and Contractor on a form substantially identical to the form attached hereto as Exhibit _A,_ and shall become part of the Contract only if it is in writing and signed by the parties prior to the commencement of the work for which payment is made. The owner may not require the contractor to perform extra or change-order work without providing written authorization prior to commencement of any work covered by the new change order. Extra work or a change order is not enforceable against an owner unless the change order also identifies all of the following in writing prior to commencement of any work covered by the new change order: A.
