Common use of Written Policies and Procedures Clause in Contracts

Written Policies and Procedures. A. The Health Plan shall develop and maintain written policies and procedures for each area of the contract for which IDHW requests the development of policies and procedures, at any time during the contract. If the IDHW determines the Health Plan lacks a policy or procedure required to fulfill the terms of this contract, the Health Plan shall adopt a policy or procedure as directed by IDHW. B. The Health Plan shall: 1. Maintain written guidelines for developing, reviewing, and approving all policies and procedures; 2. Review all policies and procedures at least annually to ensure they reflect current practice and update them as necessary; 3. Sign and date reviewed policies; and 4. Ensure all medical and quality management policies are reviewed and approved by the Health Plan’s Medical Director. C. Should the IDHW determine a Health Plan policy requires revision; the Health Plan shall work with the IDHW to revise the policy within the timeframes specified.
