All candidates who are interested in trying out for a spirit squad need to understand that there are specific responsibilities and obligations they must assume in order to qualify for and remain part of the squad. These obligations remain in effect for the entire school year. Members of the cheer and pom squads are among the most influential and visible student leaders in the school. For this reason, coaches, teachers, and school administrators alike hold the schools’ spirit squads to high standards and expectations. For this reason, families are encouraged to read the following information carefully to determine if participation in cheer or pom is appropriate. The following rules and regulations govern the extracurricular activities of cheerleading and pom.
