At the February 9, 2021, Board meeting, the Board authorized the Board President to sign the agreement with Flash Parking in an amount not to exceed $100,000 per year, for a two year period. The final contract, including the License Plate Read (LPR) technology, is $103,980 per year.

As you are aware, the parking lot agreement with Republic (Reef) Parking expired on January 31, 2021, and is currently in holdover status. As such, airport staff have been researching other options for the operation of the paid parking lot. Staff’s recommendation is to move forward with the automated system provided by Flash Parking. Republic Parking has agreed to work with us through the transition to a new system. An email to the Board outlining this research, the financial impacts, and staff’s recommendation is attached.
