Question Response 1. Clarification from Stratford-on-Avon District Council:There has been a recent change to the Homeless Code of Guidance to make it explicit that that temporary accommodation should not be considered suitable for a family with children under 2 if there is not enough space for a cot and that housing authorities should support families to secure access a cot where needed. As a result of this recent change we have added to the requirements for bedroom essentials in 3.11.2 of the specification to:Where children under 2 are accommodated as part of the household, there must be sufficient space in the room for households to bring a cot. The guest house must be able to provide access to a cot if required. We have incorporated this change in the specification which we have provided on the website. n/a
