Holy Cross is no longer a Cigna medical Plan In-Network provider effective January 1, 2022. Holy Cross opted to leave the Cigna network effective January 1, 2022, because no agreement could be reached between the parties due to what Cigna deemed to be unaffordable terms which would have significantly increased the rates the medical plan would pay for healthcare with this provider, increasing costs to the medical plan and employees.

Under the new agreement, UnitedHealthcare and it’s Oxford Health Plan and Medicare plan participants will have in-network access to more than 40 orthopedic physicians affiliated with the Hospital for Joint Diseases – a designated UnitedHealth Premium Specialty Center for Surgical Spine and Total Joint Replacement. The agreement further expands UnitedHealthcare and Oxford’s health care provider network of more than 38,000 physicians and 200 hospitals statewide.
