MSG will provide, or contract with a Consumer Reporting Agency to provide, pre-adverse action letters and/or adverse action letters to applicants whom MSG denies employment based on the contents of his or her Background Check Report as required in accordance with federal, state, and local law.
MSG will advise each applicant by e-mail prior to his or her submission of consent for MSG to obtain a Background Check Report that the applicant may provide evidence of rehabilitation, explain the procedure by which the applicant may provide evidence of rehabilitation, and remind the applicant that a failure to fully and accurately disclose his or her criminal conviction history may lead to a denial of employment.
The e-mail notice will include a link to the applicant’s Background Check Report and a copy of the criminal record information that the applicant self-disclosed at the time he or she applied.
MSG will send a follow-up, reminder e-mail to all applicants four (4) days later which will provide a second link to the applicant’s Background Check Report and a copy of the criminal record information that the applicant self-disclosed at the time he or she applied.
Credential Check will maintain Background Check Report information and transaction details for a minimum of six (6) years.
