Building Height definition

Building Height. - means the vertical distance between grade and the highest point of a building; excluding an elevator housing, a mechanical housing, a roof stairway entrance, a ventilating fan, a skylight, a steeple, a chimney, a smoke stack, a fire wall, a parapet wall, a flagpole or similar device not structurally essential to the building;
Building Height means the vertical distance measured in the case of flat roofs, from the average level of the center line of the adjoining street to the highest point of the building adjacent to the street; and in the case of pitched roofs, up to the point where the external surface of the outer wall intersects the finished surface of the sloping roof and in the case of gables facing the road, the midpoint between the eaves level and the ridges:
Building Height means the vertical distance at any point from natural ground level to the uppermost part of the building above that point (roof ridge, parapet or wall), excluding minor projections above that point. Minor projections include finials, chimneys, vent pipes, aerials or other appurtenance of like scale.

  • If the sole means of achieving compliance for the Project with such revisions to the Technical Codes made after the Effective Date (“New Technical Requirements”) would require an increase from the allowable Building Height established in this Agreement for the Project, then the Planning Director is hereby authorized to grant Developer limited relief from the allowable Building Height without amending this Agreement if the requested relief is in compliance with the City’s General Plan.

  • Developer hereby acknowledges that in approving this Development Agreement for the Project, the City is waiving fees and taxes, and the City is modifying development standards otherwise applicable to the Project such as increasing Floor Area Ratio and Building Height, reducing parking standards, and other property development standards.

  • In the event that any inconsistencies exist between the Zoning Ordinance and the Building Height allowed by this Agreement, then the Building Height allowed by this Agreement shall prevail.

  • The definition of Building Height, allows for an additional 8’ of non- habitable architectural spaces above the building height as set forth in Section of 16-1-50 of the Town of ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Municipal Code.

More Definitions of Building Height

Building Height means the vertical distance from the grade level at the main entrance to the top of the parapet that comprises the majority of the perimeter of the building for a flat roof; to the deck line of a mansard roof; and to the mean height between eaves and ridges for gable, hip, and gambrel roofs.
Building Height means the vertical distance measured from any point on top of the facility to a line directly below which meets finished grade on the outside perimeter of the facility, or intersects with a perpendicular plane connecting opposite points of finished grade at the outside perimeter of the facility.
