Card security code definition

Card security code means the three-digit or four-digit value printed on an access device or contained in the microprocessor chip or magnetic stripe of an access device which is used to validate access device information during the authorization process.
Card security code means the three (3) digit number at the back of a MasterCard or Visa issued Card and is used to make purchases online.
Card security code or ‘CVV2 Security Code’ means the three (3) digit number located on the reverse side of the Card and to the right of the signature panel.

Card security code means the three digit security code specified on the reverse of any Visa or MasterCard card, which code is located within the signature strip. Card Not Present Transaction means a Transaction between the Retailer and a Cardholder where neither the Card nor the Cardholder is present at the time of the Transaction.
