Coded data definition

Coded data means collecting data under a unique code (e.g., project ID) and keeping a separate file that links the ID to a participant (e.g., by name, email, medical record). After you complete all data collection, if you will keep a link between a project code and directly identifiable data, explain why and how long you will keep this link. Coded data are not anonymous. Write N/A if not applicable.
Coded data means the anonymized data delivered by Celera to SGI pursuant to Section 3.4, which data shall meet the specifications and requirements set forth in the Research Plan. All Coded Data will be Celera Confidential Information.
Coded data is data in which direct personal identifiers have been removed and replaced with words or letters that are not derived from or related to the personal information. Coded data means a rule for converting a piece of information, i.e. a letter, word, phrase into another form of presentation, not necessarily of the same type.
Coded data means “coded private information” in that identifying information (such as name or social security number) that would enable the investigator to readily ascertain the identity of the individual to whom the private information or specimens pertain has been replaced with a number, letter, symbol, or combination thereof (i.e., the code); and a key to decipher the code exists, enabling linkage of the identifying information to the private information or specimens. If any PHI are included with the data (in the form of dates/limited data set), please check the “PHI” option below, and indicate the identifiers.
