Design Limits definition

Design Limits means the items listed in Appendix 3 with respect to the Primary Resources, as such items or Primary Resources may be changed from time to time by notice from DYPM to IP, and any similar design limits on any other Supply Resources.
Design Limits means the operating specifications listed in Appendix A.
Design Limits means the parameters set forth in Appendix C.

Examples of Design Limits in a sentence

  • If the OEM provides written direction for operations that requires a change to the Design Limits, the Parties will negotiate in good faith to modify the Design Limits accordingly.

  • Buyer may Dispatch the Facility with the objective to avoid the need for energy imbalance service from a control area service provider, and to provide reactive power, load following (consistent with the scheduling), voltage control, and frequency response, provided that such services do not cause the Facility to operate outside of the Design Limits, and do not impose any additional costs or liabilities on Seller.

  • The operating characteristics of the Facility shall be consistent with the Design Limits set forth in Appendix A unless otherwise mutually agreed by the Parties.

More Definitions of Design Limits

Design Limits means the operating limitations on Operator's duty to respond to Dispatch Instructions, as provided in Section 7.2.
Design Limits means the parameters set forth on Appendix D.
Design Limits means, with respect to a Reserved Unit, the items listed in Appendix A with respect to such Reserved Unit.
Design Limits. When the Facility operates pursuant to Virginia Power's Dispatch rights in accordance with this Agreement, it is capable of operation over the continuous range from 0 MW (the "Minimum Operating Level") through 150 MW (Summer) and 170 MW (Winter) (the "Maximum Operating Level"), except that due to the equipment installed the Facility cannot be operated in the range of zero (0) percent to thirty-five (35) percent of the Dependable Capacity or fifty (50) percent to seventy-five (75) percent of the Dependable Capacity except in an Emergency. After the Facility has been off line due to a Scheduled Outage, a Forced Outage, or in response to Virginia Power's Dispatch of the Facility for a period in excess of twelve (12) hours (i.e.: a cold start), it can it can be resynchronized and brought to its Minimum Operating Level within twenty (20) minutes and can achieve its Maximum Operating Level within one hundred eighty (180) minutes following Virginia Power's notice to start-up the Facility. Hot and Warm start-up times shall be determined in accordance with the characteristics of the Facility and Prudent Utility Practices and incorporated into the operating procedures developed pursuant to Section 4.4 of this Agreement. Once the Facility has been synchronized with Virginia Power's system and brought to its Minimum Operating Level, its output may be increased at a rate not less than four (4) percent of the generator nameplate rating per minute. If the Facility is operating above its Minimum Operating Level, its output may be reduced at a rate not less than ten (10) percent of the generator nameplate rating per minute down to the Minimum Operating Level.
Design Limits means the operating parameters of the Facility set forth under the heading "Design Limits" in Exhibit 3.
Design Limits. When the Facility operates in accordance with this Agreement, it is capable of operation over the continuous range from 52,500 kW (summer) and 53,200 kW (winter) (“Minimum Operating Level”) and through a maximum operating level which shall be the Maximum Capacity – Summer or Maximum Capacity – Winter, as the case may be. After the Facility has been off line, it can achieve the levels of operation specified below within the time periods indicated below: (a) If the Facility has been off line for less than 8 hours (hot start), it can be resynchronized within 3 hours following notice to start-up and can achieve its Minimum Operating Level within 6 hours following notice to start-up. 9
Design Limits on page 6 of the Agreement, first sentence, fourth line, delete the number "170" and replace it with the number "180".
