Designated Representative of the Association definition

Designated Representative of the Association. One designated by the Association to represent the “grievant,” as defined herein, and shall include, but is not limited to: the chairperson of the Association Grievance Committee, or in the sole discretion of the Association, the “grievant” or a “Representative,” as defined herein, chosen by the “grievant.” The Association shall notify, at the appropriate level, the supervisor, Superintendent or chairman of the Board, in writing as to the “designated representative” in any grievance.
Designated Representative of the Association means an official of the Association who has been given authority to receive grievances on its behalf (the Association President, Building Representatives, or Grievance Chairperson). The Association must, in writing, supply the names of these parties to the board before the Board Representative has a duty to deal with them. Changes of Representatives shall not affect any grievance in progress.

Examples of Designated Representative of the Association in a sentence

  • Where the Central Professional Development Committee cannot resolve the issue, it may be further referred by any two Central Professional Development Committee appointees to an appeal committee comprised of an Assistant Deputy Minister of Education, Culture & Employment or designate and a Designated Representative of the Association who shall decide the matter within 14 calendar days of such referral.

Related to Designated Representative of the Association

  • Designated Representative has the meaning set forth in Section 6(j)(v) of this Agreement.
