The MSO owns and operates Digital Addressable System cable TV network in the State of Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telengana.
The Operator shall take all necessary actions to prevent any unauthorized access to the Channels/Subscribed Channels through its Digital Addressable System.

Any changes to the EPGN on the Operator’s Digital Addressable System shall be made in good faith without targeting the Subscribed Channels for discriminatory treatment vis-à-vis other channels falling within the same genres and shall be affected only with prior consent of the Broadcaster.
Such equipment shall be compatible to GTPL KCBPL’s Digital Addressable System (software and hardware) and shall be of a make/quality approved by GTPL KCBPL.
Eastern Media Ltd is the broadcaster of signals of channel mentioned herein after authorises inter alia, to the Cable Operators/Distributors/DTH Operators authorized to retransmit signals of satellite television channels through its Digital Addressable System in the areas beyond Odisha including in DAS Areas.

In case ZMCL finds that the Digital Addressable System (i.e. CAS, SMS and other digital equipment) being used by the DPO/ OPERATOR for distribution of TV channels does not meet the requirements specified in ANNEXURE X of this Agreement, it shall inform such DPO/ OPERATOR and the DPO/ OPERATOR shall get the addressable system cure the same as per the requirement suggested by ZMCL in order to be eligible to avail the signals of ZMCL Channel(s).
The Operator shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary approvals, licenses and permissions, as may be imposed or required by the government and other authorities, for the distribution of the Subscribed Channels by the Operator in the Area through the Operator’s Digital Addressable System.
