Field Replaceable Unit definition

Field Replaceable Unit. ("FRU") means a component of the Product that will be used to replace or repair failed Product in the field.

Field Replaceable Unit. (“FRU”)” means any specific System Component or System Disk within a NetApp system, excluding filer heads, which can be replaced at a Customer location without pre-configuration by Q Associates. Replacement Hardware will be new or equivalent to new at Q Associates discretion;

Field Replaceable Unit and is an Equipment component designed for replacement by Egenera.

Field Replaceable Unit or "FRU", shall mean the product assembly or subassembly of the Covered Equipment that can reasonably be removed from service and/or installed without the use of uncommon tools and/or methods. For the purpose of RES, Parts shall be specifically limited to those described in Exhibit 2 - "Cricket RES Supported Parts List." Vendor shall have sole authority for defining the composition of Parts to be exchanged or repaired. Each type of Part will be assigned an identifier to distinguish it for a particular function or purpose. This Part identifier will be used in communication between Owner and Vendor when discussing Part(s) to be repaired or exchanged. All exchanged Parts will be like-for-like, except where Vendor determines that a replacement Part of a different type is fully compatible with the Form, Fit, and Function of the defective unit being replaced. Each Part will also have an assigned serial number to uniquely identify and distinguish it from other Parts of similar type. Owner must always provide the Part reported as suspected faulty and requested for exchange. In the event Owner has parts for repair that are not included on the Exhibit 2 - "Cricket RES Supported Parts List," Owner may request that Vendor add the part. If Vendor agrees to add the part to the Cricket RES Supported Parts List, the added Part will be covered by RES within [ *** ] days of the date added. Owner shall provide Vendor with as much information about Parts as is reasonably available to Owner as requested by Vendor, including, without limitation, the MSC locations or addresses of the Parts. Field Replaceable Unit or "FRU" means a Parts marked with a part number which Buyer will either Repair or replace at the customer location. "Lead Time" means the minimum length of time prior to a specific Delivery date that Supplier must receive a WA from Buyer to ensure delivery by such date. "New Defective" means a Parts that is not free of defects and fails upon Delivery and/or installation which may occur as a result of, but not limited to, shipping, handling, packaging or in manufacture prior to arrival at the delivery point; "Parts" means any FRU, specific component of a FRU, subassemblies of a FRU, CSP, any other part, component or subassembly described in this SOW, documentation, code and related Services associated with the completed assemblies. In the event this SOW is issued under a Non-Technical Services Agreement, "Parts" will be synonymous with "Deliverable". "Repair" or "Repaired" means all required repair activity including: disassembly, failure analysis, testing, component recovery, rework, warranty process, packaging, and/or final testing in accordance with this SOW or relevant WA. "Turn Around Time" or "TAT" means the elapsed time from the date of receipt acknowledgement of a FRU arriving at Supplier's from Buyer until shipment notice back to Buyer. "Yield" means the relationship between the AFR sent to Supplier for Repair and the returned Repaired Parts to Buyer.

CUSTOMER must always provide the Part reported as suspected faulty and requested for exchange.

Field Replaceable Unit means a subassembly of a CP, or Spare Part, which can be replaced at the customer site.

Field Replaceable Unit means Hardware that may be replaced at the Customer Site.
