The Record Date with respect to any Interest Payment Date for a Fixed Rate Security shall be the fifteenth business day preceding such Interest Payment Date.
Without prejudice to Conditions 2(b) (Subordination – conditions to payment), 5 (Cancellation of Interest) and 9(g) (Accrued Interest following Capital Adequacy Trigger), interest will cease to accrue on each Fixed Rate Security or Resettable Security on the Redemption Date (if any) unless, upon due presentation thereof or, in the case of a Registered Security, upon such due date, payment of principal is improperly withheld or refused.

Where the Specified Denomination of a Fixed Rate Security or, as the case may be, Resettable Security in definitive form comprises more than one Calculation Amount, the amount of interest payable in respect of such Security shall be the aggregate of the amounts determined in the manner provided above for each Calculation Amount comprising the Specified Denomination without any further rounding.
