For purposes of periodic salary step increases, the Periodic Increment Date will be the beginning of the first pay period in the month after the employee begins employment.
Pay Increment Date: The pay increment date for a full-time employee appointed to a position classification in the bargaining unit shall, upon promotion, demotion or appointment from outside the Library of Parliament, be on the anniversary date of such action.
If the Employee's temporary or casual employment is not used to arrive at a step placement greater than step 1, the Anniversary Increment Date will be established as one (1) year of service (excluding overtime hours) from the original date of hire.
