Index Currency definition

Index Currency means USD.
Index Currency means EUR.
Index Currency means the currency specified on the face hereof as the currency for which LIBOR shall be calculated, or, if the euro is substituted for that currency, the Index Currency shall be the euro. If that currency is not specified on the face hereof, the Index Currency shall be U.S. dollars.

Examples of Index Currency in a sentence

  • Any day on which commercial banks are open for business (including dealings in foreign exchange and deposits in the Index Currency) in London.

  • On the Interest Determination Date, those three banks will be requested to provide their offered quotations for loans in the relevant Index Currency having an Index Maturity specified in the Pricing Supplement commencing on the Interest Reset Date to leading European banks at approximately 11:00 A.M., New York time.

  • On the Interest Determination Date, those four banks will be requested to provide their offered quotations for deposits in the relevant Index Currency having an Index Maturity specified in the Pricing Supplement commencing on the Interest Reset Date to prime banks in the London interbank market at approximately 11:00 A.M., London time.

  • If one or more of the applicable Interest Rate Bases is LIBOR or the CMT Rate, the Floating Interest Rate Notice shall also specify the Index Currency and Designated LIBOR Page or the Designated CMT Maturity Index and Designated CMT Telerate Page, respectively.

  • The second London Banking Day preceding the applicable Reset Date unless the Index Currency is Sterling, in which case it means the applicable Reset Date.


More Definitions of Index Currency

Index Currency means the currency or composite currency specified on the face hereof as to which LIBOR shall be calculated. If no such currency or composite currency is specified on the face hereof, the Index Currency shall be United States dollars.
