Local Union representatives definition

Local Union representatives as used in this Agreement means those representatives designated by either the Local Union or by Council 25, such as President, Chief Steward, Steward, or Alternate ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, who are members of this Bargaining Unit.

Examples of Local Union representatives in a sentence

  • Local Union representatives, upon request to their immediate supervisor and subject to operational requirements, shall be granted the necessary time off without loss of pay to meet with the Employer for the purpose of processing grievances.

  • Local Union representatives shall be members of the Bargaining Unit and shall be representatives for employees in the Bargaining Unit.

  • The Hospital shall provide three (3) parking passes to the Local Union at the Employee rate which use shall be limited to three (3) parking spaces at any given time by Local Union representatives.

  • The number of Local Union representatives excused without pay for any one (1) grievance hearing may be equal to the number of management representatives, except that the Labor Relations Manager and/or representative shall not be included in the count.

  • Each new employee will be given a copy of the current collective agreement and advised of the name of the Local Union representatives.

  • Where the needs of the service require that employees be available to perform emergency work during off-scheduled hours the Employer, by arrangement with the Local Union representatives or shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ may, by written order, assign employees to standby duty.

  • When Labor-Management Meetings or such meetings recognized by Management are held at other than the employee's scheduled work time, for purposes of pay only, properly designated Local Union representatives shall be permitted an equivalent amount of time off from scheduled work on their upcoming or previous shift or by mutual agreement on another day in the pay period only in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Section 5 - Representative Access The Board agrees that an accredited representative of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, whether Local Union representatives, District Council Representatives, or International Representatives shall have access to the premises of the Board on the same basis as they are available to the general public.

  • By mutual agreement with the Employer in emergency situations, Union staff representatives or Local Union representatives may call a meeting during work hours to prevent, resolve or clarify a problem.

  • Local Union representatives may be excused with pay from their assigned University duties to confer with University officials, at the written request of the University, regarding issues or actions which affect bargaining unit employees, including serving on University committees and serving on the Labor-Management Committee as per Article 28.

  • Union Representative means a representative from the Union authorized by the Union to act on behalf of an Employee.

  • Association Representative A member of the Association, who has been designated as a representative by the Association or a staff person of the Association.

  • Agency Representative A person assigned by a primary, assisting, or cooperating federal, state, local, or tribal government agency or private entity that has been delegated authority to make decisions affecting that agency’s or organization’s participation in incident management activities following appropriate consultation with the leadership of that agency. Area: The lands in a described geographic area that are managed and/or protected by the Parties within this Agreement.

  • Department Representative means an individual who represents the Department and presents the Department’s position in a hearing.

  • Designated Representatives means the Subordination Agent Representatives, the Trustee Representatives and the LP Representatives identified under Section 2.05.
