Period of Absence definition

Period of Absence means, with respect to a Participant, a period of time that lasts for at least 90 days throughout which the Participant is: (i) on a leave of absence from the Corporation or a Subsidiary that has been approved by the Corporation or Subsidiary, as applicable; (ii) on a Statutory Leave; or (ii) experiencing a Disability.
Period of Absence means, with respect to a Participant, a period of time that lasts for at least ninety (90) days throughout which the Participant is on a leave of absence from the Corporation or an Affiliate that has been approved by the Corporation or Affiliate, as applicable, a Statutory Leave, or is experiencing a Disability.
Period of Absence means, with respect to a Participant, a period of time throughout which the Participant is on a Family Leave, Military Leave, Paid Leave of Absence, an unpaid leave of absence of 31 days or less approved by the Corporation or Affiliate, as applicable, or is experiencing a Disability, but does not include a period of time throughout which the Participant is on an Unpaid Leave of Absence.

Examples of Period of Absence in a sentence

  • The Company accepts that the Contractor may from time to time take vacation from his full time client commitments to the Company (Period of Absence).

  • On no account shall the Contractor take a Period of Absence other than in accordance with the following: (a) it shall be within the overall average annual Time Commitment calculation; (b) it shall only exceed 14 consecutive business days with the prior agreement of the Board of the Company, which shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • January 1, 2016, the Basic Benefit for participants in the Boeing Company Employee Retirement Plan (referred to as the “BCERP” or the “Plan”) increased to $95.00 per month for all years of Credited Service for employees on the active payroll of the Company or those on an Authorized Period of Absence on or after January 1, 2016 (including those who retire from the employ of the Company on January 1, 2016).

  • On no account shall the Contractor take a Period of Absence other than in accordance with the following: (a) it shall be within the overall average annual Time Commitment calculation; (b) it shall only exceed 5 consecutive business days with the prior agreement of the Chief Executive Officer of the Company, which shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • For greater clarity, no additional PSUs or RSUs (whether pursuant to Section 4.1 or in the form of Dividend Equivalent Units) shall be granted to a Participant following his or her date of death or during his or her Period of Absence, including following his or her date of Disability.


More Definitions of Period of Absence

Period of Absence means an absence from service of 12 months or less, with or without pay, for any reason other than a quit, discharge, Retirement or death.
Period of Absence means the portion of a continuous absence from active employment or active service with Athabasca or any entity comprising the Athabasca Group, as a result of a sick, disability, maternity or parental leave or any other form of leave approved by the Corporation, in each case that is in excess of the first 90 consecutive calendar days of such absence.
