Practical Completion of the Work definition

Practical Completion of the Work means when Contract Deficiencies identified during Performance Testing and previously identified but outstanding Contract Deficiencies have been corrected by the Contractor, or addressed and a course of action established by the Owner, and the state of the Work is so declared, in writing, by the Owner.
Practical Completion of the Work or “Practical Completion” means the date at which the Company determines that all work agreed in the quotation has been carried out.

Examples of Practical Completion of the Work in a sentence

  • The liability of the Contractor under this Deed shall cease 12 years following date of issue of Certificate of Practical Completion of the Work the subject of the Contract.

  • The time for Practical Completion of the Work shall be extended commensurate with any delay or delays in performance by either the Contractor or the Principal when such delay is caused by Force Majeure, and notice is given pursuant to Clause 50.2.

Related to Practical Completion of the Work

  • Practical Completion means the completion of the Project where the building is fit for occupancy and/or purpose.

  • Mechanical Completion means that (a) all components and systems of the Project have been properly constructed, installed and functionally tested according to EPC Contract requirements in a safe and prudent manner that does not void any equipment or system warranties or violate any permits, approvals or Laws; (b) the Project is ready for testing and commissioning, as applicable; (c) Seller has provided written acceptance to the EPC Contractor of mechanical completion as that term is specifically defined in the EPC Contract.

  • Substantial Completion means the stage in the progress of the work as determined and certified by the Contracting Officer in writing to the Contractor, on which the work (or a portion designated by the Government) is sufficiently complete and satisfactory. Substantial completion means that the property may be occupied or used for the purpose for which it is intended, and only minor items such as touch-up, adjustments, and minor replacements or installations remain to be completed or corrected which:

  • Substantial Completion Date means the required date for Substantial Completion of the Project. The Substantial Completion Date can be adjusted only by written Change Order.

  • Construction Completion Date or “Completion Date” means the date by which the overall Development of the Project is completed in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement and when the Completion Certificate is issued by the Authority as per Article 14.1.
