Prior to the Intern Teacher's first day as teacher of record, provide each Intern Teacher with a certified, experienced district-employed Intern Mentor/Liaison who will work collaboratively with the University Supervisor to support the Intern Teacher in achieving competency in the Teaching Performance Expectations.

The Board shall not dismiss a teacher on the basis of less than satisfactory performance of duties in accordance with the criteria critical to teacher competence as outlined in Appendix A, except where the Board has received at least three (3) consecutive reports pursuant to Article C.24 (Evaluation of Teaching Performance) of this Agreement indicating less than satisfactory performance.
In the event that a Principal believes that a specific area needs to be addressed beyond the process outlined in the Supervision, Professional Growth and Assessment section, then they will commence a formal process by sending a memo to the teacher requesting a Step 1 meeting and indicating that the formal evaluation process pursuant to C.30 Teaching Performance: Supervision and Evaluation has begun.
