ACCESS TO NEW BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEES/NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION Clause Samples

The "Access to New Bargaining Unit Employees/New Employee Orientation" clause establishes the union's right to meet with newly hired employees who are part of the bargaining unit, typically during their orientation period. In practice, this clause allows union representatives to provide information about union membership, rights, and benefits, often by scheduling a brief session during the employer's onboarding process. Its core function is to ensure that new employees are informed about their representation and union-related matters from the outset, promoting awareness and engagement while preventing misunderstandings about union rights and responsibilities.
