ADDITIONAL SHIFT. 5.3.1 Part-time and casual team members shall not be required to commence work on more than one occasion on any day except if working an additional shift as described below: 5.3.2 Part-time and casual team members may be engaged on an additional shift each day provided that: (a) No more than two engagements shall be worked on any one day; (b) A minimum of 3 hours work shall apply for the original rostered shift and 3 hours for the additional shift; (c) A minimum break of not less than 2 hours shall apply between the cessation of the original rostered shift and the commencement of the additional shift; (d) The maximum hours of work per day as prescribed in subclause 5.2.9 (Part Time) and 3.3.3(b) (Casual) within this Agreement shall apply; (e) Where a second engagement occurs on any one day, a 10 hour break shall be observed between the cessation of work on that second shift and the commencement of the next shift; (f) Part-time team members who work an additional shift in accordance with this clause shall be paid the loading as prescribed in subclause 3.2.1
ADDITIONAL SHIFT. Whenever the need arises to organize an additional shift in any one department, the shift or the shifts already in force in this department will function normally, that is to say, that the employees on the shift or shifts will have the privilege to work their normal working week, except in cases where it would be impossible to do otherwise.

  • Minimum Break between Shifts (a) Where it is necessary to work extended overtime, it is agreed that no Employee shall resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty between the termination of the overtime and the commencement of the Employee’s ordinary work on the next day or shift. (b) In the event that an Employee agrees to a request from site management to resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty, the Employee shall be paid at double ordinary time rates until the Employee is released from duty for such period.

  • C1 Contract Price In consideration of the Contractor’s performance of its obligations under the Contract, the Authority shall pay the Contract Price in accordance with clause C2 (Payment and VAT).

  • Basic Work Week ‌ a) The basic work week of an employee working full- time shall be forty (40) hours consisting of five eight hour days; b) Daily hours of work shall be consecutive with the exception of rest and meal periods. No split shifts shall be worked; c) Employees shall not work longer than their regular, scheduled work day, unless requested to do so by Management; in which event, additional time will be paid at applicable regular or overtime rates. Employees are required to leave the store as soon as it is reasonable to do so.

  • Afternoon Shift (i) Afternoon Shift is any shift where the normal ceasing time is later than 6.00 p.m. but not later than midnight. (ii) The additional loading for ordinary hours only shall be twenty-five percent (25%) of the all purpose rate applying to the Employees' classification.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.
