Alternative Evaluation. 2 1. In lieu of Standard Evaluation, an Eligible Teacher may elect one of 3 the Alternative Evaluation Methods approved by the District and the 4 Association. The specific protocols and requirements for each Alternative 5 Evaluation Method shall be established by the District and the Association.

Alternative Evaluation. 6.4.1 The alternative teacher evaluation process is designed to increase opportunities for professional growth available to the District's tenured teaching staff. 6.4.2 Participants will be tenured teachers who have consistently demonstrated competence in previous evaluations, and who wish to engage in a personalized program of professional growth. There will be no limitation on the number of participants at each site. The principal and teacher may determine a mutually agreeable alternative evaluation option.
6.4.3 Participating teachers will set meaningful goals which will serve as a focus for their professional growth, and establish suitable criteria for the evaluation of that growth.
6.4.4 At a conference held prior to November 1, the teacher and the administrator will agree on these goals, the evaluation option, and the criteria for evaluation.
