Common use of Alternative interviewing work Clause in Contracts

Alternative interviewing work. (a) Where a casual employee requests not to perform work on a particular project due to personal and/or ethical objections to the subject matter of the survey, or due to reasonable concerns about interacting with a particular respondent demographic, the employee will be offered any available alternative interviewing work, provided the employee has the capacity to perform work on the alternative project satisfactorily, based on their skill, experience, training and pattern of availability. (b) To avoid doubt, where a briefing on an available alternative project/survey is recorded or may be readily run again, and the employee seeking alternative work did not attend the scheduled briefing on such project, this will not be deemed a training limitation for the purposes of determining the employee’s eligibility to be offered shifts on the alternative project. (c) Where an employee objects to performing work on a particular project in accordance with sub-clause (i) either during or before a rostered shift, and either no alternative work is available or the employee does not meet the requisite criteria to be offered work on any available alternative project, the

(c) Where an employee objects to performing work on a particular project in accordance with sub-clause (ia) either during or before a rostered shift, and either no alternative work is available or the employee does not meet the requisite criteria to be offered work on any available alternative project, thethe employee may cancel the rostered shift, or leave a partly completed shift early, without prejudicing their future allocation of work.
